Restaurants are great at creating patronage motives. Why else would you go to a Brazilian steakhouse twice in one month?
Definition: the stimulus that drives an individual or user toward selection of a particular outlet, retailer or supplier of services
Patronage buying motives are most commonly seen when a consumer shows brand loyalty. Here are the top three reasons for consumer loyalty:
- competence of a salesperson and their relationship with the customer (have you ever worked with a personal shopper?)
- great customer service compared to that of a competitor (have you ever switched cellular service providers over customer service?)
- a variety and familiarity of products (do you have a favorite brand of shoe?)
A customer’s positive experience with a company can prove to be beneficial for the business, as it’s common for that customer to wish to have a repeat experience.
What has a business done to earn your repeat patronage lately?
