Old Facebook Page Rules:
- You must have 25 fans to select a Facebook URL for your Business Page.
- Be absolutely sure you spell this URL correctly, because you can’t change it. EVER.
- Once you have 200 fans, you may not change your Facebook page name.
New Facebook Page Rules:
- You must have 25 fans to select a Facebook URL for your Business Page. [Same]
- You can change your Facebook URL at any time – once. [New]
- You may change the name of your Facebook page if you have more than 200 fans – if you put in a special request to Facebook. [New]
Here’s how to change your Facebook URL:
Step 1: Click “Edit Page” on your company’s Page. Select “Update Info”.
Step 2: Click “Basic Information” and scroll down to “Username”. Click “Change Username”.
Step 3: Type desired username in the field and heed the warning. This is your last chance!
Ready to change your Facebook Page name?
Step 1: Click “Edit Page” on your company’s Page. Select “Update Info”.
Step 2: Click “Basic Information” and scroll down to “Name”. Click “Request Change”.
Step 3: Type in desired Page name, select the reason why you are changing your Page name and attach supporting documents, files and images.
