Brand sentiment is important to brands to learn what their customers do and don’t like. This helps them tailor their marketing and other communications in such a way that they can cultivate positive feelings with their customers to strengthen their interest and loyalty.
Monitoring social media channels is a key way that brands can gauge public sentiment, since there are a ton of interactions and discussions that could potentially say volumes about how customers are feeling. This is partly why brands have really been taking control of their social media accounts and trying to stay current with trending topics so that they continue to be relevant to their customers.
Outside of outstanding customer service, offering incentives for honest customer feedback can help brands learn from and correct any mistakes that are made to ensure their customers continue to have a positive sentiments regarding their brand!
